Cannock Chase

We walked West to East, prevailing wind behind us, despite most travel books written going the opposite direction. It's a good introduction to multi day walking. Not too tough and lots to see. We paid for bag transfers and B&B's

We were hoping to complete a MTB race, but is was postponed because of high winds. We walked most of one loop of the course as part of the walk. Incredible numbers of fungi and horse riders. The walk took in some WW2 cemeteries. A windy 6 hours!
