We walked West to East, prevailing wind behind us, despite most travel books written going the opposite direction. It's a good introduction to multi day walking. Not too tough and lots to see. We paid for bag transfers and B&B's

A really good half day walk. Hills, views, farmland, a bit of town (Lewes), a brief walk on the South downs Way and the meridian line. We were lucky with the weather; the heavens opened just as we finished
