We walked West to East, prevailing wind behind us, despite most travel books written going the opposite direction. It's a good introduction to multi day walking. Not too tough and lots to see. We paid for bag transfers and B&B's

We walked West to East, following the Wainwright route from St Bees Head across the north Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors ending in Robin Hood's Bay to release our pebble. Some really great sections in the Lakes and Dales. Almost 200miles with some extra paths thrown in. A really good trek
