We walked West to East, prevailing wind behind us, despite most travel books written going the opposite direction. It's a good introduction to multi day walking. Not too tough and lots to see. We paid for bag transfers and B&B's. We went off track to visit Vindolanda (a must), Chesters and Housesteads. Long drag on last day into Newcastle
